Dear Members of the European Society of Dermatopathology, Dermatopathology Webinar | Pearls in Dermatopathology, 21 June 2023
It is my great pleasure and honor to host the first Dermatopathology (ISSN: 2296-3529) webinar, which will be on the topic of pearls in dermatopathology. The speakers at the webinar will be the authors of three very interesting articles which were among the most cited articles of our journal in 2022; the authors are Prof. Dr. Claudia Günther with “Type I Interferon Signature in Chilblain-Like Lesions Associated with the COVID-19 Pandemic”; Dr. Gerardo Cazzato with “Spitz Nevus with Features of Clark Nevus, So-Called SPARK Nevus: Case Series Presentation with Emphasis on Cytological and Histological Features”; and Dr. Isabel Colmenero with “Venous Malformations in Childhood: Clinical, Histopathological and Genetics Update”. I would like to thank these authors for their participation in our first webinar. I hope these webinars can continue in the future, as I am sure they will be highly beneficial for the readers of Dermatopathology and members of the European Society of Dermatopathology. All of our content is published in Open Access format and distributed under a Creative Commons License, which means free distribution and the right to share and re-use published articles. We publish quickly to ensure the latest research is rapidly disseminated, using thorough, precise editorial work. After peer review a first decision is provided to authors in approximately 19 days; once accepted, papers are published in 5–10 days. In addition to being a key theme in our journals, we support sustainability by ensuring the long-term preservation of published papers and the future of science through partnerships, sponsorships, and awards. The further expansion of our flagship journals, the fast growth of some medium-size journals due to increased visibility in indexing databases, as well as the successful launch of a number of new journals, has helped us to strengthen our position as the leading open access publisher and has brought MDPI into the top 5 largest academic publishers worldwide. |
